This weekend is the long weekend in Canada and I always spend the May Long Weekend at the Rodeo, I figured I would share the wealth a little and post some cowboy eye candy for you. Enjoy.
Ack the countdown is on
20 AprIt’s official I’ve booked some of our summer vacation. We’ve decided to take the kids to this awesome amusement park. I’m a roller coaster girl so I can’t wait. I like them all; wooden, steel, inverted. I freely admit I’m a big kid at these types of places. *grin*
Here is a little video of one of my favorites at the place we are going. The drop is about 190 feet, first you do it facing forward then you do the whole thing going backwards. So much fun.
Now the water part of the amusement park I have mixed feelings about. Don’t get me wrong I love waterslides. I mean how can you not? LOL What I don’t love is strolling around in my bathingsuit. At the regular pool once I’m in, I’m in but at the waterslides. Yeah, no I have to wander around in my bathingsuit. Not fun.
So you guessed it the countdown is on and I’ve amped up my workouts to get ready. Hopefully that does the trick. The countdown is on so we’ll see.
Anyone else got any fun things on the horizon for summer?

P.S I’m taking part in a blog hop this weekend for Earth Day. It starts today and runs until Sunday. Lots of great prizes up for grabs including a Nook. Come check it out.
Now that’s my kind of candy
6 AprWith it being Easter weekend my kids are getting amped up for the candy so I thought the Easter bunny should grace the blog as well but with some grown up candy, yep you guessed it EYE CANDY. Yum. Since my new book Rode Hard released last Friday it seemed appropriate for the guys to be cowboys.
Blurb
Six weeks surrounded by hot, rugged cowboys doesn’t sound like hard work at all. In fact, writer Kat McCray is going to enjoy this assignment. One look at sexy ranch owner Justin Shaw and she knows exactly how she plans to spend her downtime. In his bed.
Justin works hard and has the body to prove it. And he plays even harder—him and his two best friends. He’s more than happy to help Kat explore her darkest fantasies…especially the ones that involve all four of them.
Kat’s walk on the wild side is only temporary—Arizona is a lifetime away from her real life in New York. But she can’t deny she’s starting to fall for Justin. He’s sexy as hell and sweet as sin. And their sexual experiences with his two friends are nothing short of scorching. That doesn’t change the fact she’s going home at the end of her stay. Unless she can somehow turn this fantasy into reality.

What makes a good heroine?
9 MarSince yesterday was International Women’s Day I thought it would be appropriate to blog about heroines. I don’t know about you but I love a great heroine. There’s just something about a great female character that really draws me into a book.
When I think about what I like and don’t like in a heroine a few things come to mind. I like writing and reading about strong women who can look after themselves. Women who don’t need a man to make them feel good about themselves because they are independent and confident in their own way, whatever that looks like. When I look at my female characters they all have a common thread, even when life has torn them down or thrown them for a loop, they still have the reserves within themselves to get back up.
I love real heroine’s who have real flaws, the kind of character I can relate to on some level.
I have to admit the one thing that comes to mind as something I really don’t like in a heroine is whining. I’m not talking about one scene where the character whines. I’m talking about the whole boo hoo, poor me, whining that lasts through an entire book, the I’m nothing without a man whining. I don’t know why it’s such a hot button for me but there’s something about that kind of heroine that makes me want to throw my book. LOL
So what about you do you have certain things you love or hate in a heroine? What is the ideal heroine for you?

Tax Season. OY
24 FebWell it’s that time of year again. Taxes. OY. Every year I tell myself I am going to be more organized and every year I’m scrounging around in files, folders and baskets for all my receipts. It’s time consuming but being a pack rat does have a few benefits at least I’ve kept the receipts it’s just a matter of finding m. LOL So since I’m thinking about taxes I thought I would share some cartoons. So here you go.
Ahh taxes. LOL

Romantic Movies
10 FebWith Valentine’s Day right around the corner it seems only appropriate to be thinking about romantic movies. I admit I’m a huge sucker for a good romantic movie and my poor husband has sat through more than his fair share, good thing we always balance out movie night with a blood and guts movie as well. LOL
So I’ve got my list of 10 of my favorite romantic movies of all time. In no particular order. Some of them I realize are a bit odd and would never be Oscar contenders but I like ‘em anyways. LOL
1. The Notebook

2.Sweet Home Alabama

3. Casablanca

4. When Harry Met Sally

5. P.S. I love you.

6. Fools Rush In

7. Dirty Dancing

8. Hitch

9. A Walk to Remember

10. Last of the Mohicans

Alright so those are a few of my favorites, hit me with some of yours. What is your favorite romantic movie of all time?

Procrastination
27 JanWell that pretty much sums up my day yesterday. LOL
I should have been writing, but instead I decided it was a good idea to tackle my daughter’s room since I’ve been gritting my teeth about the chaos in there. She has a small bedroom so that means there’s no where for her junk to go so I decided what she needed was a new closet organizer thingy. So that meant off to home depot I went. Then I spent the afternoon installing this closet organizer. Now that doesn’t sound like a bad thing really but yep you guessed it. Once I started organizing her bedroom well of course we found all sorts of things that don’t really need to be in her room so that means they got displaced elsewhere in the house.
See where I’m going here?
You got it, now I need to tackle the storage room and rec room. OY! What was I thinking?
I should know better than to procrastinate.
